Today we are in my classroom working and Robert went up to my buliten board that had a shark on it... He looked at me and said "Mommy, sharks bite and that is naughty... there is NO reason to bite... I think they need to stop!"
I tried to explain that they bite to get their food and they don't know that it is naughty. But as people... we do know it is wrong. He pondered a moment and said..."Well, if they don't understand... I think that God should just take them back up to heaven!"
That's one way to look at it! :)

Happy 4th!
What a fun day! We had a lazy morning -- I woke up with a headache and Rodney was so kind as to get the kids up and go downstairs to play and let me sleep. I got up at an unheard of 10:00... unbelievable!!! It was nice. My headache was gone and I felt much more rested! :)
Once I was up and around, we decided to head off to Sam's Club for a few essentials -- needed diapers for the 2 little ones and Sam's has them cheaper than other places... so off we went! :) Of course picked up a few other items too!
Once we were done there, we headed of to one of our favorites for lunch -- Sweet Tomatoes -- We hadn't been there for a very long time! For those who don't know what ST is, here is a link... http://www.sweettomatoes.com/
Anyway... The salads were amazing and it must have been my lucky day... they had one of my favorite soups!! ...Clam Chowder! YUM! We all left very satisfied and full! The kids love it there -- they always have mac-n-cheese on the pasta bar... sooo.... of course they loved that after they ate their salads! I am so blessed to have great fruit and veggie eaters!
We came home and settled kiddos down for naps... C and E slept until 430 -- very rare! We let them, as we knew we would be out late to see fireworks.
Later that evening...around 7 or so we set out to find a "spot" to sit and watch the fireworks. We did some exploring and found a new place we hadn't been before. We went up the street to Culver's to get ice cream for Rodney and the kids and a Lemon Ice with blueberries for me -- yum!
We found our spot and put out the lawn chairs and the kids played in the back of the van, which we converted into a nice little playroom, and all were happy (most of the time) :) We were there for almost 2 hours mind you! At one point, Robert perked up and loudly exclaimed: "Look mommy! Over there! Is that fireworks?!?!" ...unfortunately it was a radio tower... Now that brought back some memories of the first time I went to see fireworks with Rodney and my good friend Pam :) It gave both Rodney and I a good chuckle! -- Thanks Pam! :)
E started getting fussy about 9:00... she was almost asleep at 9:30 and the fireworks started! She immediately perked up! :) I am not sure if C and E had ever seen fireworks before. C would yell "whoa! Look mommy!" and point each time there was a burst in the sky. E would squeal and clap her hands... then started pointing to the fireworks :) When there was a short 'lull' in the program, she started signing the word 'more', which we have taught her as a way to ask for 'more' of something :) it was priceless... and of course I left my camera at home! :( bummer! Maybe next time! They were FABULOUS fireworks.. We had a GREAT place to view them... We really had a good time!
As we were working through traffic to get home Rodney and I got pretty amused thinking about how we got there 2 hours early.... was in traffic for nearly 45 minutes and the fireworks??? Well... they were 30 minutes...
The things we do for entertainment! That's all for now! :) Hope y'all had a great 4th!
